Part 1
My eyes shot open and all I can hear is ringing in my ears. I go to move my hands to my ears and I hit something hard. The ring in my ears began to fade from importance while I looked around. I moved my hands up and began to feel the walls around me. Soft like silk and padded. I feel the ruffles at my sides as I run my fingers over them. I put my hands on the wall in front of me as I try to imagine where I was. Padded with little buttons like the headboard of my bed.
I chuckle to myself as I start to imagine an inside joke I said to my parents. If I ever died, make the inside of my coffin, like my bed so I will feel at home. Engrave your names on the door of the coffin so I know y'all are always with me. Take my phone and put it under my pillow so I can wake up and watch Netflix in the middle of the night.
Buzz Buzz
The sound of a phone vibrating goes off and it sounds so loud. It's painful, the ringing, gosh its like I can hear everything magnified.
I reach my hand up and under the pillow and pull out my phone.
No Service
3:00 AM
34 Missed Calls
40 Unread Text Messages.
I can't believe I slept through all these calls and texts. To be honest I don't remember getting in bed.
Thump Thump.
My thoughts are interrupted I click the phone off and tuck it in my pocket and close my eyes and pretend to be asleep.
Thump Thump.
Thud.
As nervous as I feel like I should feel I feel nothing. My heart isn't racing, my palms aren't sweating, I am calm.
Creeeeeeek!
"Well Rise and Shine! There's no sleeping when you're dead! You should've done that when you were alive."
My eyes shot open "What!"
